Chateau de Monrecour is located in Périgord Noir region, in the heart of the Dordogne Valley. It offers two heated swimming pools, a large south-facing terrace and a gourmet-style restaurant. The staff and the hotel are just excellent, the grounds and Chateau are amazing. Staff have attention to detail such as they'd put the Air Con on hours before we arrived at our room, with 36c temps, it was awesome to walk into a cool room. The staff were super-friendly & helpful, although it's location means you'd ideally need to drive anywhere (nearest village is not a safe walk on the main road), we've never felt the need to leave the place when using their amazing restaurant. We stayed mainly because of the restaurant, and it didn't disappoint us a 2nd time we've stayed here. We stayed at 8 hotels in 8 nights and this is probably the best, and ironically one of the cheapest - it's such good value. The pool was a perfect temperature too.

Offering city views, Le Château Olive et Raisin is an accommodation set in Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, 24 km from Parc des Expositions Avignon and 33 km from Avignon Central Station. Beautifully appointed modern apartment, spacious and comfortable. Wonderful views onto the river and terraces. Autonomous entry was east. Restaurant downstairs was high standard with charming staff, we ate there three nights. Highly recommended.

Offering a bar and mountain view, La Masia Del Taulat Chambres d´Hôtes is set in Llo, 7.9 km from Municipal Museum of Llivia and 13 km from Bolquère Pyrénées 2000. The house is full of charm and has unbeatable views of the mountains Cadí and Carlit. The breakfast and dinner spread was some of the best I’ve had in a guesthouse and the hospitality incomparable. Toni and Miguel are amazing hosts who truly care about their guests and go above and beyond to make sure you are happy, comfortable and well-fed. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Château d'Arance features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Cette-Eygun. Featuring a bar, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. Stunning location, staff very friendly and helpful. Food fantastic. Will definitely come again!

Providing garden views, Château Laffitte Carcasset in Saint-Estèphe offers accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, free bikes, a garden and a shared lounge. The rooms were phenomenal—such unique architecture and finishings. It felt very luxurious at a reasonable price. The grounds are stunning with the pool and gardens. The common area was comfortable and well stocked. Breakfast was the best on our trip through the region. And the staff was so friendly and accommodating. They gave great recommendations and even worked to book us extra tastings. Fantastic stay.

Situated in Artigues-près-Bordeaux, in a historic building, 8.9 km from Chaban Delmas Bridge, Château Fleur D'Aya is a recently renovated bed and breakfast with a terrace and shared lounge. We absolutely LOVED staying at Chteau Fleur D'Aya! We were immediately made to fee super welcome and in fact on our first night we chose to sit and eat our dinner (bought from a local supermarket) with Henri and loved listening to his stories about the amazing restoration he implemented at the Chateaux. The Chateaux is a fabulous mix of historical beauty and modern interior design - it has been renovated in a stunningly sensitive and clever way and we loved staying somewhere so different! The beds were super comfortable and the shower and bath etc were wonderful. We actually did not find the time to get a swim in as we at two Rugby World Cup matches to attend but it looked wonderful and the hosts were super relaxed about us using it at any time. We are hoping to make a return sometime in the future when we have more time to enjoy the Chateau and Bordeaux and it's surroundings.

Well situated in the centre of Sarlat-la-Canéda, LE PETIT MANOIR offers air-conditioned rooms, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a garden. Excelent accommodations to experience Sarlat. Classy place.

Offering garden views, Le Château de Roquebère is an accommodation set in Condom, 40 km from Agen Exhibition Centre and 41 km from Stade Armandie. Lovely peaceful location. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Château Bonalgue - Pomerol is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Libourne, 32 km from Chaban Delmas Bridge. I’m very picky with hotels and usually try to stay at luxury properties. Chateau Bonalgue showed me a different side. The rooms are comfortable and very nicely appointed (actually I recommend the team to take the pictures again, as the pictures on the listing make the rooms look of inferior quality, when they are actually very nice). The peaceful atmosphere is the vineyard and our 5 year old son discovery and learning was priceless. The whole team was superb. Already missing it.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Château Saint-Pierre de Mejans offers accommodation with pool with a view and free WiFi. Everything - it was about as picturesque as it gets, and we were only sorry not to be able to stay longer, I would come back to Provence just to stay here!
